Those who saw the war

«Those who saw the war» is a book with stories of people who suffered from the Russian occupation

The editorial board of the All-Ukrainian portal TuT-Ua.com and NGO “All-Ukrainian Union — Glorious Ukraine” united for an important social project — the creation of a book with stories of people affected by the Russian occupation. The project is called «Those who saw the war.»

“On February 24, my life, like the lives of all Ukrainians, changed forever: war came to our land… I was born in Kyiv, and in 2015 I bought an apartment in the Bucha district. But it is impossible to live in my house now. All my neighbors died. Irpin, Bucha, Stoyanka, Myla and other settlements of the Kyiv region were occupied by Russian troops.

I have no words to describe all the horror that took place there. My heart is torn to pieces after I saw photos and videos from my native Ukraine.

I thought for a long time what I can do for my homeland?

I remembered the saying, «People live as long as they are remembered.» I had the idea to create a book with stories of real Ukrainians, whose lives will be immortalized in the pages of a future book.

For me, this is a very important mission — to preserve the memory of people and tell the truth to the world. That’s why I have gathered a strong team that will work on the project”, — says the author of the idea, the editor-in-chief of TuT-Ua.com, Ksenia-Ksena Vlasenko.
